WHIPPLE, BRIAN - (65) of Saint John died peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at the SJRH on December 15, 2005. He was born of Saint John and is the husband of Ruth (Chamberlain) Whipple. Brian is the son of the late Patrick and Frances (Gillis) Whipple. He spent the greater part of his life in Saint John and had been a member of the Royal Canadian Navy. Brian worked for the CN Railway and later for Allingham Travel Agency for a number of years and later became a ships agent for RC Elkin Ltd. Beside his wife he is survived by one daughter; Jennifer Ann Lynn Wienges (Jacob) of Dansville, Georgia USA, two brothers; Daniel D. Whipple of Fonthill, Ontario and James Whipple of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, one sister; Doreen Meltzer of Saint John, two grandchildren; Ossian & Yonah as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He as predeceased by two brothers; Patrick and Jack. Following Cremation visitation will be held at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) on Friday December 23, 2005 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm in Cavanagh's Chapel and a reception.
