WHITE, DONALD EDGAR - On Tuesday, December 27, 2005, Donald E. White passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late James and Ella (Laskey) White. Don was a longshoreman by trade and a member of I.L.A. Local #273. He was an active member of the R.C.L.-Carleton #2 Branch where his morning adventures often started with a game of cards. He loved to go for drives, and a good portion of his time was spent at the ball fields taking in a game. Being a sports enthusiast, Don could also be found on the golf course or shooting a game of pool. He is survived by his son Donald Jr. (Lesley), Saint John, NB., stepchildren Larry Lambert, and Jackie (Wendy) Lambert both of Saint John, NB., and Myrna (Barrie) Black of BC., siblings Robert "Bob" White, BC., Evelyn (Richard) Dagenais, ON., Ruth Cruise, Doug (Joan) White, Doris White, Norman (Linda) White, Bruce (Dianna) White, Stephen White, Phyllis (Allen) Edgett, and Jeanie White all of Saint John, NB., grandchildren Preston, Dominique, and Trè, step grandchildren Julia, Adam, Heidi, Nicholas, Craig and Lee, as well as, one aunt and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Don was predeceased by his brothers George and David. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2005 from Fallsview Chapel at 10 o'clock. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Interment will take place at a later date in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
