KIERSTEAD, NORMA SYBLE - The death of Norma Syble (Kierstead) Greer, wife of Rev. Leslie Greer, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on January 3, 2006 at the York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born on October 4, 1931 in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Elijah and Elizabeth (Jonah) Kierstead. Norma was a Missionary in Nigeria for 18 years and later retired as a Registered Nurses Assistant. She was a devoted Christian. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Felicia Ann Gomez (Gus) of Fresno, California; her son, Milton Greer (Lisa) of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren; four sisters, Hazel Knowlton of Saint John, NB, Mildred Kierstead of Sussex, NB, Ruth Beshara (George) and Pat Beshara (Ronald) both of Rothesay, NB; one brother, Leslie Kierstead (Janet) of Saint John, NB; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Elmer and Richard; and one sister, Lillian Brown. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 2 pm from Greenwood Dr. Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Arbeau officiating.
