Helen Bernice Toole of Belleville, Ont., passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 at her residence at the age of 87. Born in Baie Verte, N.B., she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Murphy) Wood. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Brenda (Kenneth) Haines of Belleville, and grandchildren Laura and Adam; two brothers Hugh Wood of Baie Verte, N.B., and Lorne of Oshawa, Ont.; five sisters, Noreen (James) MacFarlane, Port Coquitlam, B.C., Marjorie (Guptill) Hicks, Quispamsis, N.B., Marie Barrie and Lorna (Malcolm) MacNeil of Fredericton, N.B., and Shirley (Ronald) Graham of Cornwall, P.E.I. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1975, brothers Basil and David and sisters Dorothy (Fred) Atkinson and Jean (Andrew) Thompson. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial beside her husband in Dorchester, N.B.
