SADIE LOUISE (MOORE) CARTER

CARTER, SADIE LOUISE (MOORE) - The death of Sadie Louise (Moore) Carter of 55 Magazine Street, Saint John occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 18, 2006. Born in 1925 in West Saint John she was the daughter of the late H. Levi and Willa Mina (Harned) Moore. She worked as a Ward Clerk at Saint John Regional Hospital before her retirement but will be best remembered as an accomplished artist and a member of the Saint John Art Club. She was a veteran of WWII serving in the RCAF as an aerial photographer and was a member of the Air Force Club. She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Carter and Leslie Rice (Earl) and her grandchildren Jo-anne (Tighe) Duncan of Calgary, Jennifer Porter (Jeremy), Janice Hamilton (Craig) of Edmonton, Tara Steeves, Benjamin Steeves (Terri-Ann), Meghan Steeves (Trevor Fleury), and John B. Lisson of Medicine Hat and great grandchildren Desiree, Alex and Ethan Steeves, Cody, Travis and Carter Fleury, and Nathan and Kirsten Hamilton. Also she is survived by her sisters Jean Hayes (Harold) of Saint John and Rita Russell (Paul) of Loch Lomond and brother Wayne Moore (Betty) of Guelph, Ontario and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother H. Lindsay Moore and sister Mina Nevers. Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday April 20, 2006 evening from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday April 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
