HOWARD CAMPBELL

CAMPBELL, HOWARD - After a brief illness, Howard Joseph Campbell of Arthurette passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on Tuesday April 25, 2006. Born in Halifax, NS on June 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Basil and Delia (Young) Campbell. Howard was predeceased by his wife Betty Campbell (Sheppee), one son Michael, and a sister Marie. Howard served as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force 143 Airfield, 2nd tactical Air Force, 83 group main during WWII. He was an active Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #85, a member of #31 Benjamin Masonic Lodge. He was a hard worker and a loving father. He is survived by his daughters June (Jack) Fennell of Saint John, Valerie Smith of Regina, SK, Cheryl Sprague (Dale) of Arthurette, Angela (Matthew) Michaud of Arthurette; sisters Muriel (Franklin) Wright and Geneva McCarty, both of Perth-Andover, Kathleen Caron of Rochester, NH; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held Thursday April 27, 2006 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Mills officiating. Interment will be in St. Helen's Anglican Cemetery, Arthurette. For those who wish, donations to St. Helen's Memorial Fund or to Southern Victoria Cancer Assistance Fund would be appreciated. There will be a Masonic Memorial service held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 pm followed by a Legion Memorial service.
