VIRGIN, JOHN - The death of John Virgin, loving husband of Lina Marie (Arsenault) occurred on Thursday April 27, 2006 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home. Born 1921 in Quincy, Massachusetts he was the son of the late John and Violet (Beyea) Virgin. John was a Veteran of WWII. His passion was music and he was very active in the local music scene. He was a member of such groups as The New Brunswick Country Ramblers and the Dave Woods Trio. Besides his loving wife Lina he is survived by two sons Gary Vergen (Christine) of White Rock, BC and Kevin Kane of Toronto; three daughters Diana Sedlacek (Jiri) of Darlings Island, Gail Virgin (Jeffrey Hillier) of Saint John and Karen Breen (Art) of Qusipamsis; six grandchildren: Jesse, Chelsea, Jeremy, Kaela, Kendra and Sophia; one great-grandson Jasper; two sisters Vivian MacLennan of Saint John and Shirley Virgin of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister Helen and brothers Jim, Ernie and Leo. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday May 1, 2006 at 11:00 am. Following cremation interment will take place at a later date.
