SACKVILLE, N.B. - The death of Ivan Phinney, age 77, of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 13, 2007. Born in Midgic, he was a son of the late Lawson and Daisy (Estabrooks) Phinney. Ivan worked in Ontario for 44 years and retired to Sackville in 1995. Ivan will be sadly missed by his wife Rita (Legere), Sackville; two sons Michael (Dawn), Sackville and Ronald (Beverley), Harrowsmith, ON; three grandchildren, Michael, Evan and Lyndsey; three brothers, Marven (Arlene), Oshawa, ON, Raymond (Helen) and Keith (Edna), both of Sackville; a sister Joyce (Lloyd) Mitton, Sackville; nieces and nephews. The remains were entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) where visitation was held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 2 p.m., burial in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
