BINKS (BILL) FLYNN

FLYNN, BINKS (BILL) - Binks passed away with his children around him on May 14, 2006, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, finally at peace. Binks is lovingly remembered by his children Sean, Kevin, Catherine, and Carolyn; wife Frances; and grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Olivia, Kathleen, Connor, Kylie, and Nathaniel. He is predeceased by brothers William and Kenneth (Bubbles) and sister Rita (Betty) Stevens, and survived by siblings Frances, Patricia (Bunny), Ellen, Ida, Joseph, and Bernard, along with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was the son of the late William and Rita (Sabean) Flynn. He was a past president and member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 39. Binks would want to express his heartfelt thanks to son-in-law Michael for his help and support during his final days. Binks was a sensitive and loving man who loved nothing more than to be alone with his thoughts-and with God- in the woods. Although he worked with his hands all his life, he loved poetry and literature in all its forms. He especially loved Irish folk music, and his family knows that he will sleep in peace until we come to him. Binks requested that there be no visitation. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday May 17, 12 noon at Holy Trinity Church. In lieu of flowers, Binks would appreciate that donations be made to Romero House in his name. He thanks the wonderfully competent and compassionate staff in the Family Medicine and Palliative Care units at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their expertise and tender care during his final days. With their help, he was able to pass on with a great sense of peace, contentment, and dignity. He was a good man. Arrangements entrusted to A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) www.awcavanagh.com
