W. REGINALD WALDO FLAGG
FLAGG, W. REGINALD WALDO, 83 - It is with great sadness that the family of Reginald Flagg announces his passing on May 25th, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Reg was born in North Head on October 14th, 1922, the son of Winnifred Urquhart. He was predeceased by his son John, three brothers Clayton, Victor, and Glendon. Reg served in the R.C.A.F. in England and Ceylon. He graduated from U.N.B. in 1950 with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. After a further two years training in Stafford, England, returning to Ontario as Plant Engineer, he later became President of Canadian Ohio Brass Company, Niagara Falls. Early retirement in 1981 brought he and Joyce back to Grand Manan Island, where he became very active in community life. A member of North Head Baptist Church, Church Choir, Grand Manan Rotary Club, Gm. Transportation Committee, Gm. Town Council, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #44, Gm. Farmers Market, and the Grand Manan Curling Club. Reg was well known to the children on the Island as Farmer Reg because of his apple farm tours. Reg is survived by his wife Joyce (Duncalf), one son Roger of Fall River, NS., one daughter Janet Morse (Raymond) of Castalia, and three grand children and one great grand son, also one brother Maynard (Bud) Wormell (Marietta), Blacks Harbour, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives at the North Head Baptist Church on Saturday 2-4 PM, 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 28th, at 2. PM with Rev. Ron Ford officiating, interment to follow in North Head Community Cemetery.
