JUDITH GAIL STERNER

STERNER, JUDITH GAIL - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Gail (Pierce) Sterner on Saturday, June 10th, 2006, the beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Judy was born in Brookville, Pennsylvania to Clyde Irwin and Frances Rebecca Pierce, who predeceased her. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Elliott Sterner; children, Steven Lee Sterner (Shelly), Marcia Michelle Hilchie (Duane), Thomas Irwin Sterner (Beata), and Rebecca Fae Sterner; eleven grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Steven, Adam, Bryan, Brooke, Samantha, Angela, Melissa, Braeden, Kiana, Kelson, and Parker; and by her sister, Cheryl Ann Pride. Judy and Tom fell in love at a very young age and married when Judy was 18. They enjoyed 42 years together, living in Syracuse, Fredericton, Ottawa and Victoria. Judy was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a teacher of young children and youth, as well as a leader in the Relief Society, which is the women's organization of the church. Judy loved to read, sew, bake and engage in a variety of handicrafts. Most of all she loved her family and treasured her time as a wife, mother and grandmother. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, June 12th, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 986 Smythe Street, Fredericton, at 2:00 pm with Bishop Robert Simmons officiating. Interment will be in the Seymour Memorial Cemetery, 112 Kingsley Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. www.mcadamsfh.com
