Sackville, N.B.- Margaret (DeVarenne) Wilkin, age 85, passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Middle Sackville, N.B. on February 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Leonie (Legere) DeVarenne. Margaret will be sadly missed by her son Robert (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Sarah, Joanna and Reece Wilkin, all of Quispamsis, N.B. She was predeceased by her husband David Wilkin; brother Frank DeVarenne; and three sisters Laura, Della and Helen in infancy. Arrangements were entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation took place on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the charity of one's choice.
