FLOWERS, FLORENCE MAY - Florence M. Flowers has passed away after a four month battle with cancer that she fought with much courage and dignity which she lost, but in the blink of an eye she won the battle where she was in the presence of her lord and savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth with her family by her side on June 24, 2006. Florence was born in Saint John at the General Hospital to her late parents Harold and Hazel (Sherwood) Whelpley on November 2, 1941. Florence is survived by her only son Glen A. We would like to thank our very special cousins, Shirley, Jean, Joanie, Eileen and Joan who helped make sure that Florence was not alone. Our very special Pastor Edward Powell who visited Florence faithfully and the last weeks came in the evening also and prayed and sang to Florence which gave her much peace. Pastor Edward has Jesus heart full of compassion and wisdom, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We want to thank the Nurses of the Palliative Care Unit, especially Nancy who Florence really liked, you all are truly God's angels helping people die with dignity.
