RICHARDS, WAYNE DONALD - The death of Wayne Donald Richards of Chipman, NB occurred Tuesday, June 27th, 2006 in Miramichi, NB. Born in Truro, NS he was the son of Gerald and Anne (Barton) Rennie of Maitland, NS. Wayne was retired from the Canadian Military having 30 years of service with the R.E.M.E. (Mechanical Engineers). He was proud of his decorations and had served overseas during peacetime in places such as Germany, Egypt and Golan. In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia (Green) Richards; a son, Craig Richards (Paula) of Chipman; a daughter, Melissa (Boehr) Richards of Humboldt, SK; three grandsons, Brayden, Austin and Dylan; a granddaughter, Hannah; two sisters, Sylvia Hatch (Eddie) of Maitland, NS and Cynthia Roy (John) of Truro, NS; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) where the family will receive visitors on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1st, 2006 from the Chipman United Church with Rev. Jim Postlethwaite officiating. Interment will take place in the Redbank United Church Cemetery, Chipman. For those who wish, donations made to the Chipman Public Library, the Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
