JOAN SPARKS
SPARKS, JOAN - The death of Mrs. Mary Joan Sparks, loving wife of John Sparks occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1931 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Louis John and Annie Fennell. Joan was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Besides her loving husband, John of 57 years; she is survived by her loving children, Louis (Linda) of Halifax, Linda Garnhum (Lloyd) of Saint John, Gary (Patricia) of Clifton Royal and Karen Anne Alchorn (David) of Saint John; grandchildren, Jesse Sparks, Kyle Sparks, Jacqueline Nase (Philip), Jennifer White (Fred), Heather Garnhum, Jeremy Sparks, Stephen Sparks, Justin Alchorn and Colin Alchorn; great grandchildren, Emma and Brandon; brothers, Donald Fennell (Jean) and Allan Fennell both of Saint John; her beloved dog, Muffin; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Gerald and Patrick. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Friday 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
