BETTY BANNON
BANNON, BETTY - Betty Bannon 87, of Moncton passed away at her residence on Wednesday July 5, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Toronto, ON. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Bessie (Adams) Bannon. Betty came to Moncton at an early age, attended local schools and graduated from Dalhousie University and was awarded the Bruce Memorial Scholarship for three years. She was a faithful member of St. John's United Church and a member of the U.C.W. Betty was a member of the University Women's Club of Moncton for over fifty years. She cherished many summers at her cottage in Cape Brule, the closeness of her many friends was constant throughout her life. Betty will be sadly missed by her brother Doug Bannon (The Late Eileen) Moncton, nieces Jane Bannon and Sheila Bannon (David Publicover), Halifax. Cousins Jessie & Allan Erson, Janet Douglas, Ted Sievert and Helen Sievert all of Toronto, ON. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Thursday 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Friday July 7, 2006, 11am. Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
