SNELL, EDWIN HERBERT - At Quinte Healthcare Belleville General Hospital on Saturday, July 8, 2006. Edwin Herbert Snell of Tweed, Ontario in his 93rd year. Beloved husband, for almost 60 years, of Elizabeth and beloved father of Bill (Ann) Leland of Sussex, NB, Jim (Nora) Leland of Ottawa, Edward Snell (Elizabeth Campbell) of Oakville, Peter (Carol) Snell of Thomasburg, Chris (Olga) Snell of Liverpool, England, and Tricia (David Biespiel) of Portland Oregon. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Kelly, Goldie and Peter Leland and their families, Michael, Brian and David Leland, Matt, Trevor, Chloe and Tristan Snell and Lucas Snell Biespiel. Great-grandfather of nine. Ed was a fiercely proud native of St. Andrews, New Brunswick, where he spent much of his life. He had a distinguished military service with the Carleton and York Regiment of the Canadian Army and was decorated for his service during WWII. Ed was an avid photographer and environmentalist. The family will receive friends at the McConnell Funeral Home, Tweed (mcconnellfuneralhome.ca) from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday. Funeral Service in the Tweed Chapel Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 1:00 pm.
