RAY DOODY
DOODY, RAY - Ray Doody of Weaver passed away peacefully in the Veteran's wing of the Grand Falls Manor on July 19, 2006. Born in Ottawa, ON on April 28, 1912, he was the son of the late John and Etta (Smith) Doody. Ray leaves behind his daughters, Joan (Marty) Maloney of Halifax, and Arlene Dynes of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Gladys Roy and also by his second wife Margaret Drysdale. Ray served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He served six years overseas and was very proud to have received the Flying Cross. Ray was the second in command of the Canadian Pavilion which he help to found in 1967. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #29. Resting at St. George's Anglican Church in Plaster Rock with visitation on Saturday from 11am - 1pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 1pm from the church. Rev. Ellen Curtis officiating. Interment will be in the Woodstock Methodist Cemetery. There will be a Legion Memorial Service held at the church on Saturday at 12:30pm. Arrangements by Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
