CURTIS, FERNE CONSTANCE - Unexpectedly, at her residence, in Lord's Cove NB on Sunday, July 23rd, 2006, Mrs. Ferne Constance (Rogerson) Curtis; beloved wife of Royce J. Curtis of Lord's Cove. Born in Leonardville, NB on June 20th, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Virgina (Leslie) Rogerson. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister she is survived by her husband; one son; Stanley (Marlene) Curtis of Pleasant Valley, PEI; three daughters; Carlotta (Larry) Walsh of Musquash NB, Diana (Mike) LeBlond of Deer Island and Wendy (Donald) Fox of Burton, NB; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Lyda Wentworth of Fla., several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two sons, Terrance and Royce Jr., and one sister Helena Wye. Ferne was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed reading. She also found pleasure in working on word puzzles and researching her family geneology. She was president of the Fundy Isles Seniors Club. Ferne was a member of the Leonardville Church of Christ and loved her lord dearly. Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm, followed by interment in the Leonardville Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Tuesday, July 25th, 2006, from 7-9 pm. In Ferne's memory donations to the NB Heart and Stroke, Canadian Diabete's Association, or the Leonardville Church of Christ would be appreciated by the family.
