RUTH DOROTHY CASS

CASS, RUTH DOROTHY - The passing of Ruth Dorothy Cass, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on July 30, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 12, 1943 in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Dickieson) Bigney. Ruth was a member of the Wilmot United Church and a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4, Fredericton. She enjoyed knitting and watching her sons play hockey, ball and bowling. She is survived by two sons, David Wayne (Martha Lunnie) and Gregory Wayne all of Fredericton; their father, Doug Cass; four sisters, Grace (Wilmot) Howe of Saint John, Victoria (Ivan) Boulter of Gagetown, Frances (Paul) Ross of Rainbow Lake, AB and Carol (Bruce) McFarlane of Sussex; four brothers, Leonard (Margaret) of Toronto, ON, Lester (Irene) of Saint John, Joseph of Saint John and James of Halifax, NS; two uncles, Calvin (Betty) Dickieson of Nashwaak Bridge and Stanley (Blanche) Dickieson of Chipman and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by two nephews, Kevin Bigney and Kevin Howe. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 1 pm with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Fredericton Food Bank, Fredericton Transition House or to the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
