KEYES, JOHN (JACK) DURWIN - The death of John (Jack) Durwin Keyes, of East Saint John occurred by accident on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Born 1940 in Saint John he was the son of the late Clarence and Pauline (Fennell) Keyes. Jack worked as an Outside Clerk for the Saint John Power Commission for 34 years, retiring in 2001. He was the President of Metro Gents Hockey League and a Member of St. James Anglican Church Lakewood. He is survived by his son, Christopher Keyes of Saint John; daughter, Alyson Keyes (Corey Fairbrother) of Saint John; brothers Herbert Keyes, Robert Keyes (Karen) and Clarence Keyes (Charlene) all of Saint John; sister, Susan Preston (Gerald) of Saint John; two grandchildren, Anna and Aiden; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Dianne Gale (Grant) Keyes in January 2005. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Black River.
