MCDONALD, MONA - Mrs. Mona McDonald of the Kiwanis Nursing Home and formerly of Hammondvale, NB, passed away peacefully with her grandchildren by her side, on August 29, 2006 at the age of 99. Mona was predeceased by her first husband, Orlie McDonald and by her second husband, Roy McDonald. Mona is survived by her three granddaughters: Connie Moss (Kevin) of Penobsquis, Carol McDonald of Lower Millstream and Heather Smith (Lloyd) of Hampton; five great grandchildren: Aaron, Ryan and Nathan Moss, Ashley and Nicole Smith; four sisters: Marion Ryan of Riverview, Myrna Cook of Nauwigewauk, Edith Armstrong of Sussex, Glenna Starkey of Newtown; two brothers: Alex Robinson of Sussex Corner and Donald Robinson (Elsie) of Lower Cove, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mona was predeceased by her two sons: Orland (Theresa) and Delbert (Eileen); two brothers: Noble and Murray; four sisters: Alice Robinson, Lillian Martin, Dolly Patton and Eurilla Hawkes. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Sussex United Baptist Church on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery.
