SMITH, RONALD JOHN - The death of Ronald John (Fatty) Smith of Heathland, NB, occurred on August 29, 2006. Born in St. Stephen, NB, he was the son of the late James and Catherine (Goodine) Smith. He was the husband of the late Muriel (James) Smith. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia McLeod and son-in-law, Samuel McLeod, of Virginia Beach, VA, Donna Smith and son-in-law, Greg Smith, of Heathland, NB and Sherry Smith Carle and son-in-law, Steven Carle, of Calais, Maine, one son, David Smith and daughter-in-law, Pamela Smith, of St. Stephen, NB, 19 grandchildren and two great grand- children, one brother, Johnnie, three sisters, Margaret Robinson, Phyllis Acker, and Ruth Poirier, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife and sons, James, Ronald and Randall Smith. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements in care of The S.O.
