REID, LENA P. - The death of Lena P. Reid occurred on Wednesay October 11, 2006 at her residence at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Born 1923 in Cambridge, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Lee) Mitchell. Lena was predeceased by her husband William Reid in May 2006, sister Agnes Mitchell, and son in law Armond Drummond. She worked as an Office Administrator for Anderson McTague Insurance for 28 years, retiring in 1986. She served as a Corporal with Canadian Women's Army Cor during WWII, as an Office Administrator. She is survived by her children Linda Garvin (Larry), Marion Drummond, William Reid (Sharon) all of Saint John and Charles Reid (Heather) of Apohaqui; daughter in law Patty of Sussex; nine grandchildren: Shelley (Shane), Sacha, Natasha (Mike), Robbie (Kristy), BJ, Joel, Johnathan, Kyle and Cole; five great grandchildren: Quinn, Derek, Zachary, Abby, Paige and Mike; brothers William Mitchell (Shirley), Robert Mitchell (Geraldine) and Gordon Mitchell (Mary) all of Saint John; sisters Marion Eastwood of Perry Point, Jean Barnett of Havelock, Edna Brewer (Jack) of Saint John, Dorothy Boddington (Fred) of Saint John, Betty Parks (Raymond) of Saint John and Patricia Mitchell of Saint John; many nieces, nephews and many friends. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations made to the Alzheimer's Society, Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
