WILLIAM A. STEWART
STEWART, WILLIAM A. - Bill passed away on October 18, 2006, in Thousand Oaks, California, after a long illness. He was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, on Feb. 18, 1926 and was the son of Mabel (Ramsay) and William Stewart. Bill graduated from Acadia University in Nova Scotia. He was a pioneer in the fledgling television industry beginning with CHSJ and had a long and exciting career in Canadian broadcasting, living in Toronto for many years until moving to California in 1991. He was an avid golfer, music lover, and devoted Cardinals baseball fan. He is survived by his beloved wife Elaine, his sister Marion, sisters-in-law Joan and Evie, nephews Bill and David, nieces Carol and Pat, great-nephews David (Allison) and Derek, great-niece Laura, and great-grand-nephews Carson and Luke. He will be missed not only by his family but also the many friends whose lives he touched. In keeping with his wishes, Bill's ashes will be returned to Canada.
