YOUNG, DONALD (DONNIE) RICHARD - Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on November 8, 2006, Mr. Donald Richard Young, companion of Leona Russell, of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born in Blacks Harbour on April 18, 1958, he was a son of Alice (Goodeill) Young of Utopia, NB and the late Cyril Carl Young. A loving companion, father, son and brother, Donnie is survived by his long time companion, Leona; two sons, Nicolas Maillet of Halifax, NS and Russell Young of Blacks Harbour, NB; mother, Alice (Hazen Wilcox) Young of Utopia; maternal grandmother, Vivian Goodeill of St. Andrews, NB; one brother, David (Mary) Young of Utopia, NB; one nephew, Eric Young of Utopia, NB and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Donnie was predeceased by his father, Cyril and also by one sister Nancy. Donnie was an employee of Lake Utopia Paper for 27 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 39 and a member of the Canadian Papers Worker's Union # 523. Donnie was an avid crib player and often enjoyed reading. He was known for his love of all dogs and children. Donnie will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB on Thursday from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Calvary Baptist Church in Blacks Harbour, NB with the Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. Interment will follow at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Donnie's memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Charlotte County Cancer, Passamaquoddy Lodge or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
