
DANIEL BLAIR MCCURDY
MCCURDY, DANIEL BLAIR - The McCurdy family regrets to announce the very sudden passing of beloved son, husband, father, brother and uncle, Daniel Blair McCurdy, on November 24th, 2006 at his home in Olds, Alberta. Born in 1947 at Blacks Harbour, Dan was an avid athlete, particularly in hockey. Dan was a graduate of Saint John Vocational School and business program at the University of Prince Edward Island. He has been a longstanding resident of Olds, Alberta and was employed as the Supervisor of Water for the Township of Olds, Alberta until his retirement. Survived by his wife, Mary, (nee Cavanaugh)and one son, Joshua, of Kelowna,British Columbia. Also survived by his mother, Barbara J. Mersereau, of Grand Bay- Westfield, New Brunswick;and brothers, Robert of Vancouver, B.C., David (Gale) of Fredericton, Ken (Kim) of Grand Bay-Westfield, and James, also of Grand Bay Westfield. He had several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Kenneth McCurdy, and step father Paul Mersereau. A private family memorial shall be held in Olds, Alberta, followed by cremation.
