SMITH, DORA MARIE - The death of Dora Marie Smith, loving wife of Gary Smith of Rothesay occurred unexpectedly on Sunday December 10th 2006 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, after complications from a liver transplant. Born 1947 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Christina (Carvell) Johnston. Dora worked as an Accountant for Revenue Canada. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and a Volunteer for Hestia House. Besides her loving husband Gary, she is survived by her son Andrew Smith of Moss Glenn, NB and daughter Charlene Seaman (Greg) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; grandson Mark Smith; brother Wayne Johnston of Saint John; sister Madeline Montressor (Bernard) of Stittsville, Ontario; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sister Sharon Johnston and brother Roy Johnston. By request there will be no visitations. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 14th 2006 at 11 am. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
