FORBES, MARY LOUISE - Louise (Akerley) (Allaby) Forbes, of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Born on May 17, 1937 at Springfield, NB, Louise was the daughter of the late Albert and Violet (Webster) Akerley, and the wife of the late Ralph Allaby and Harold Forbes. She is survived by Companion, Bill Boyce; son, Wade and Cheryl Allaby of Springfield, NB; and step-sons, Gary Forbes, of Saint John, NB, Greg and Cindy Forbes, of Bedford, NS; and step-daughter-in-law, Kim Forbes, of Saint John, NB; grandsons, Travis Allaby, Chad and Devin Forbes; and granddaughters, Kaitlyn Allaby, Andrea, Kristie and Kelsey Forbes; one brother, Victor and Judi Akerley, Springfield, NB; and one sister, Eleanor; and the late George Armstrong, Cambridge-Narrows, NB; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Edith. Louise retired from NBTel, Saint John, NB, in 1994 with 30 years of service. At this time, she moved to her new retirement home on the Washademoak Lake. Louise enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a member of the Akerley Area Quilt Guild, Cambridge-Narrows. She loved camping in the motor home and was a member of Twin Seas Caravan Club and FMCA. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2007. Following cremation, a private family interment will take place in Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point, NB.
