FRASER, A GORDON - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Arthur Gordon Fraser, husband of Ruth Fraser (Beyea), passed away on Sunday, January 7th, 2007. Born in Quincy, Mass, USA on August 14th, 1927, he was the son of the late Annie Christina Fraser (Harries), Bristol, England and Elliot Louis Fraser, Charlottetown, PEI. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Fraser (Williams) of Long Reach; and son, Scott Fraser of Quispamsis; son-in-law, Blair Williams; three grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew and Sarah; stepfather, Rolf Ellefsen of East Longmeadow, Mass, USA; sister-in-law, Joan (Elmer Scribner), and brother-in-law, John (Patricia Beyea), both of Quispamsis; cousins, Joan Counsell (Harries) of Lakefield, Ontario, and Dorothy Bailey (Harries) of Tentallon, Nova Scotia; and by nieces and nephews. Gordon loved participating in or viewing sports including basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, swimming and sport fishing. He was a skilled fly fisherman and enjoyed many hours tying and teaching others to tie salmon and trout flies. He was dedicated in his service to the public as a pharmacist. Following cremation there will be visitation at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hammond River on Friday, January 12th, 2007 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm with the funeral service to be held at the church at 11 am, Saturday, January 13th, 2007. A reception at the Church will follow the service. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gordon's memory to Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Hammond River, Community Food Basket, Animal Rescue League, Conservation Council of NB or a charity of the donor's choice.
