GEORGE MALCOLM GRANT
GRANT, GEORGE MALCOLM - George Malcolm Grant, of Riverview,NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday January 19th, 2007 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Aberdeen Scotland, he was the son of the late George and Edith (Smith) Grant. He was a graduate of The Robert Gordon College, Aberdeen; George came to Canada in 1958. He was the general manager of MFM Industries and MFM Clemmer. He was a life member, and past president of The Metal Workers Association. George enjoyed the many trips he and his wife Helen made to Aberdeen Scotland to visit family and friends; also he had much enjoyment with family at his cottage on Kennebecasis Island. Left with fond memories are his wife of 46 years, Helen E. (Whitebone); sons, Steven at home, David and his wife, Kimberlee of Riverview; grandchildren, Laura and Callum of Riverview; brother-in-law, Peter Whitebone and his wife, Carolyn, and Pat DaSilva both of Saint John, NB; also by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step mother, Charlotte (Black) Grant in 2005; sister, Edith Taylor in 1994; brother in law, Jack Taylor in 2004; step brother, Alastair Black in 2003. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday January 22nd, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday January 23rd, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Gavel officiating.
