JOHN KERMIT LISTER
LISTER, JOHN KERMIT - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of John (Jack) Kermit Lister after a long and courageous battle with cancer on December 26, 2006 at the residence of his special friends, Dr. and Mrs. Christopher Wake of Carlton, Tasmania, Australia. He was born October 18, 1935 to the late John R. and Isie (Henderson) Lister in Listerville, Carleton Co., N.B. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step-father Cleveland Miller, his former wife Charlotte (Boring), brothers-in-law Gerald P. Brazier, George L. Stringham, nephew Anthony Brazier and niece Sharon Brazier. He leaves to mourn son John K. Lister (Chris) and granddaughter Evniki Lister of Placentia, California, his sisters Shirley Brazier of Wetaskiwin, Alberta and Patricia Stringham of Enfield, Conn. USA, nieces Robin (Darren) Feldberg of Wetaskiwin, Lori (Richard) Friedrichs, grand-nephews Matthew, Jonathan, David and grand-niece Natasha Friedrichs all of Kingman, Alberta, also several cousins. Jack graduated from Andover High School in 1954 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In 1968 he emigrated to Australia where he was employed by Australia Telecom. After retirement he began a second career and became known in the Darwin area as Trader Jack. A service and cremation has taken place in Hobart, Tasmania. At a later date a memorial service will be held and his ashes scattered in Howard Springs, Australia, his home residence.
