JEWETT, FERN - Fern Elizabeth Jewett passed away at her home in Chipman on Saturday, February 17th, 2007. She was 100 years old. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Ellen (Devine) and Robert Jewett; her sisters, Della Jewett, Gertrude Jewett, and Mary Fearon; and by her nephew, Robert Fearon. She is survived by Jane Fearon mother of grandnieces, Nancy Power (Mark) of Rothesay and Valerie Fearon of Riverview, and grandnephew, Paul Fearon of Moncton; several great grandnieces; and one great grandnephew, Dana-Lee and Dylan Dufour, Taylor Fearon, Abigail, Olivia and Grace Power. In her youth, she trained as a nurse and later completed her Masters of Nursing degree in Boston. After a career which included teaching nursing, she retired to her home in Chipman where she was active with the Seniors group and in her church. No visitation by request. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 20th from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chipman, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Stephen officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of the donor's choice. Interment in the spring. Chipman Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
