ALICE M. MAGEE (WILSON)
MAGEE (WILSON), ALICE M. - With her family by her side, Mrs. Alice M. (Wilson) Magee, wife of the late Stanley A. Magee, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at her residence, The Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Digby, Nova Scotia on May 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Lucy B. (Ellis) and Samuel E. Wilson. Mrs. Magee was the last survivor of eight children. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Audrey (Eugene) Gould, Philip (Carolyn) Magee and Kathi (Grant) Kimball. Formerly of Orange St., Mrs. Magee had been a member of St. Andrew's and St. David's Church for over 34 years, being a member of the choir during that period and the Church Session and U.C.W. She had been involved with Meals on Wheels, Beta Sigma Phi, the Self Help Store, canvassing for the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation for a number of years and had volunteered at St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home before becoming a resident there four years ago. Alice will always be remembered for her sense of humour and love of laughter. In addition to her children she is survived by her grandsons, Christian and Aaron Gould, Corey Kimball and Eric and Gregory Magee, and great granddaughter, Sophie Gould. Following cremation, a service of remembrance will be held Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster St. (634-1712) with Rev. Chris McMullin officiating. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances can be made to the N.B.
