BELYEA, DANIEL O. - It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Daniel O. Belyea, husband of Dodie (H. Doreen Northrup). Born in Brown's Flat on February 3, 1916, he was the son of the late Alfred D. and Mary Jane (Nelson) Belyea. Dan was a carpenter by trade and a life long member of Wesley United Church Brown's Flat, having served as an Elder, Trustee, Choir Member and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dodie, daughter Helma (Wilson) Taylor, son Brian (Judy), grandchildren Bob (Rochelle) Belyea, Tracie (Phil) Kennedy, Jason (Cindy) Belyea and Duane (Becky) Taylor. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Nathan and Kate, Isaac and Adam, Daniel, and Emma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dan is predeceased by brothers Edward, Alfred, Foster, George and Stanley and sisters Elizabeth, Amelia and Pheobe. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), Saint John, with visiting on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 from 2-9 PM. Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church, Brown's Flat at 1:30 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2007. Internment in adjoining cemetery. Remembrances to Wesley United Church, Brown's Flat, or charity of donor's choice.
