MARY AGNES SAINDERS

SAINDERS, MARY AGNES - The passing of Mary Agnes (Durdan, McDonald) Sainders occurred on Monday, February 19th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fairville on September 6th, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Perley E. Durdan and Myrtle B. (Burgess) Durdan. Wife of the late Harold Sainders. She was a member of Germain Street United Baptist Church. She had been employed for many years at the former Cash and Carry Dry Cleaners and later New System Dry Cleaners, retiring in 1977. She is survived by one brother, James Edward Durdan (Marion) of Browns Flat; one sister, Charlotte Edna Hayward of Saint John West; five nieces, Susan Hobson, Valerie Bogle, J. Carol Hayward, Dorothy Keleher and Tina Durdan; three nephews, James Hayward, Danny Durdan and Edward Durdan; as well as several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Agnes was predeceased by her first husband, George McDonald. Special thanks to her neighbors, Kevin and Mary Lou Smith, who were so good to her over the years. Resting at Castle Funeral Home Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, (634-1701) with visitation on Wednesday February 21st, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday February 22nd, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Fallsview Chapel at 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday February 23rd, 2007 followed by a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Internment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Germain Street United Baptist Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donors choice.
