75, Sydney Mines We regret to announce the passing of Pat Marjorie MacLean, 75, of 175 Yorke St., Sydney Mines, Thursday, April 17, 2008, at her home, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She died with dignity with her six sons and their families at her side. Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Phil and Nora (O’Toole) Walsh. She was a member of St. Pius X parish, and a member of the CWL. Tish was an avid bowler with the Sydney Mines mixed and Monday night leagues. She loved bingo, playing cards, and going to dances with her sons. She is survived by her six sons, Cidy (Connie), Sydney Mines, Peter (Carol), Moncton, Michael (Marlene), Brampton, Ont., Wayne (Marlene), Sydney Mines, Adam (Michelle), Millville, and Bernie (Cindy), Grand Valley, Ont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa, Brad, Erin, Virginia, Kimberly, Cyril, Brandy, Emma Rose, Kyle, Vanessa, Caitlin, Kayla and Zackery; and two step-grandchildren, Stacey and Melissa; brother, Phil (Lottie), Florence; and sister, Madeline, Port Colburne, Ont.; many nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Robert (Mable) Green, Port Colborne, Ont. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Sid (1991), brothers, Jim (Ada), Bernie (Millie), Louie, Johnnie, Peter, and a sister, Annie. Visitation for Patricia MacLean will be held in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, Sunday, April 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will take place Monday, at 10 a.m., in St. Pius X Church, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Hughie MacNeil officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
