WOODEN, EVELYN MAY - The death of Evelyn May Wooden, wife of the late Raymond Wooden occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday March 1, 2007. Born 1931 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Archie Stratton and Maggie (Allen) Bosco. Evelyn worked as a Seamstress for the Saint John Regional Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1995. She is survived by her son Raymond Wooden (June) of Saint John; daughters Raymona Dow (David) of Black River and May Hayes of Saint John; brothers Joseph Bosco (Sadie) of Saint John, Harold Bosco (Betty) of Saint John, Ronnie Cook (Bernice) of Garnett Settlement, Howard Stratton and Arthur Stratton; sisters Florence Hachey of Rothesay, Dolly Fudge (Billy) of Saint John, Mary Wilson, Mrs. Keith Campbell, Mrs. Roger Bask and Mrs. Edward Thibidou; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by brother William Bosco and sisters Rose Cook and Hazel Fournier. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
