MADELINE AVERIL SCOTT
SCOTT, MADELINE AVERIL - Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on March 27, 2007, Mrs. Madeline Averil (McLaughlin) Scott wife of the late Melvin Roy Scott. Born in Honeydale NB on May 1, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Harold and Nettie (Scott) McLaughlin. A loving mother, grandmother and sister she is survived by three sons; Eric (Emely) of Pennfield NB, Brian of Fredericton NB, James (Mary) of Blacks Harbour, three daughters; Melva Murray of Blacks Harbour, Brenda (Malcolm) Tucker of Pennfield and Juliette Scott of St. Stephen NB, 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, four brothers; Burns, Charles, Neil and Vance, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband Melvin, she was predeceased by four sons; Claude, Stephen, Allan and Larry, one grandson, Peter Scott, two brothers; Adrian and Victor, two sisters; Pearl Merchant and Jenny Hayes. Maddie worked as a Nurse's Aid in the health care profession for a number of years. Finding work at both the Fundy Hospital and Collingwood Nursing Home. Following her career in the medical field she went to work for Connor's Bros. until her retirement. She was an avid knitter and crocheter and enjoyed quilting and seamstress work. Resting at the United Pentecostal Church in Blacks Harbour NB from where the service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm followed by interment in the Blacks Harbour Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Maddie's memory donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
