NEILSON, GORDON ARTHUR - Gordon Arthur Neilson died unexpectedly Friday April 6, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Gordon was the son of James E. Neilson and the late Irene (nee Morrison). Gordon was 49 years old and is survived by his best friend and wife, Stephanie (Vail); his daughters, Shona (Malone) and Sarah Elizabeth who her father lovingly called CBU; as well as his two granddaughters, Alicia and Abigail; his sister, Melanie; and niece, Aleya. He is also survived by his mother and father in law, Malcolm and Melvina Vail; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth; brother-in-law, Gordon; two nephews, Matthew and Benjamin; and his step-mother, Patricia Neilson. Gordon was employed by NB Power at Point Lepreau. He graduated from NBCC-SJ as a Power Engineering Technologist. Gord was a member of Balls Lake Fishing Club and Westfield Golf & Country Club. He played darts with #2 Golden Hawks and loved to fish, ski, hunt, golf, and most importantly, laugh. His many friends will fondly remember Gord as a great story teller. Gord was the love of Stephanie's life, and will be forever missed by his family and large circle of friends. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation Sunday 7 to 9 PM and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
