HODGES, ERIC RALPH - The death of Eric Hodges, age 87 years, formerly of Willow Grove, NB, occurred peacefully at Ridgewood Veteran's Wing on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Born in Saint John, NB, the husband of the late Adelia Hodges, a son of the late H. Lloyd and Drucella (Oliver) Hodges. He served overseas in the Army during WW II. Following the war, Eric worked for the C.P.R, Stephens Construction, and Fundy Paving. Eric was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Carleton Branch #2. He is survived by his step-son, Lawrence (Mona) McIntyre, of ON, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and special friends, Frank and Linda Garnett. Eric was the last serviving member of his immediate family, predeceased by two brothers, Frederick and Delbert Hodges, and one sister Audrey Hodges. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Field of Honor.
