CHARLES POIRIER
POIRIER, CHARLES - The death of Charles Poirier of Hampton, husband of Lucy (Beaudry) Poirier occurred unexpectedly, April 22, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Dalhousie, son of the late Arthur and Marcella (Lavigne) Poirier. Charles was a supervisor at Irving Pulp and Paper, retiring in 2005. He loved music and playing the guitar. Surviving besides his wife Lucy are one daughter, Rachel Warren (Scott), Saint John; two sons, Michael, Innisfil, ON, Ryan, Lacombe, AB; one step-son, Joseph Quigley (Patti), Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Emma and Madison Poirier; two sisters, Jeannine Morton (David), Saint John, Angeline Schmidt (Ron), Acton, ON; five brothers, Gerald, Whitecourt, AB, Romeo (Brenda), Saint John, Germain (Margaret), Hamilton, ON, Lionel (Linda), Bathurst, Danny (Brenna), Hamilton, ON; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Blanche. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Wednesday, 1:00 pm at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Memorials to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Hospice of Saint John or any charity would be appreciated. Visiting 7 to 9pm Monday and 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Tuesday.
