BAKER, VERNA (1926-2007) - Verna Baker of Medford passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on the evening of April 23, 2007. Born in Tobique Narrows on March 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Beulah (Hudson) Wallace. Verna leaves behind her husband Roland Baker; daughters Belinda (Carmel) Laforest of Tilley, Lois (Wayne) McCarthy of Bath, Cheryl (Ronald) Mulherin of Grand Falls Portage; sons Stephen (Jean) Baker of Medford, Peter (Margaret-Ann) Baker and James (Pamela) Baker both of Tilley; sisters Nola Myers of Fort Fairfield, Maine, Glenna (Graeme) MacIntosh of Tobique Narrows; her brother Jim (Margaret) Wallace of Tobique Narrows; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Jane Savoy, Freda Young, Dorothy DeMerchant; her brothers Johnny Wallace and George Wallace. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 2 pm from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Medford. Father Pierre Thibodeau officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
