NICKERSON, DAVID C. - 97 - Saint John, New Brunswick passed away Wednesday April 25th, 2007 at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John. He was the son of the late Freeland Nickerson - Cape Sable Island, NS and the late Matilda (Perry) - Cape Negro, NS. He was a retired Fisherman, Cook, Carpenter, and Boat Builder. He was an avid outdoorsman all his life, enjoyed sports fishing immensely and made friends everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his sons Clinton of Saint John, NB, Billy (Linda) of Pennfield, NB, and Harvey of San Diego, Calif. Brothers - Owen, Ellie and Blanchard. Sisters - Alice, Edna and Betty. Grand- children - Rick, Dale, Bruce, Scott, David, Lisa, Bruce, Jason, Betty, Bill, Lee, Charla, Darlene, Allison, Holly, Andrew, Jennifer and several nieces and nephews. Great-grandchildren - Troy, Sean, Jessica, Taylor, Rebekah, Natasha, Shane, Ashley, Jordan, Olivia, Jessie, Lee Jr., Gage, and Ashton. Great-great-grandchildren - Courtney, Caitlin, Ryan and Logan. He was predeceased by his wives Edith (Atkinson) Nickerson, Saint John, NB, and Gladys (Nickerson) Dowley, Halifax, NS. He was also predeceased by his son David (Eileen) Nickerson and daughter Joyce (Doug) Olie. There will be no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial service to be held at Cedar Hill-Greenwood Cemetery on Manawagonish Rd, Saint John, NB at 10 AM Saturday, April 28th. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), Saint John.
