DUCHESNEAU, MARY - passed away on Thursday, April 26th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Mary was born in Saint John NB on April 13th, 1928 to the late William and Annie (Nelson) Strachan. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Duchesneau of Victoria, BC; three sons, Ronald (Debbie) of Whiteville NC, Paul (Lorraine) of Quispamsis and Michael (Amanda Hodgin) of Hampton; brother, Robert of Truro, NS; sister, Ann (David) Robertson of Rothesay; four grandchildren, Andra, Melissa, Rene and Kyle; one great grandchild, Cadence; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Fernand; and brother, David. Mary was past president of the Bayview Legion Branch #22 Ladies Auxiliary where she received a Certificate of Merit before transferring to Jarvis Bay Legion Branch #53 where she was a Ladies Auxiliary life member and served in various executive positions. A memorial service will be held on Monday April 30th, 2007 at 2p.m. from the Silver Falls United Church. Interment will be held at Oceanview Memorial Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Silver Falls United Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
