MURIEL PERNELL HAWKINS

HAWKINS, MURIEL PERNELL - Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB, on May 15th, 2007, Mrs. Muriel Pernell (Stuart) Hawkins, wife of the late Adolphus Stephen Hawkins of Beaver Harbour NB. Born at Deer Island NB on October 30, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mabel (Lambert) Stuart. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by five daughters; Phyllis (Gerald) Justason, Verna (George) Bell, Barbara Sloan, Carolanne (Joe) Cooke and Alice (Stanley) Kagler all of Beaver Harbour, three sons; Allison (Audrey) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour, Wade Hawkins of Toronto ON and Clarence (Angela) Hawkins of Dartmouth NS, 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one sister, Iva Lambert of Deer Island, sister-in-law Emily Lambert of St. Andrews NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sons; Terry and Perry Hawkins, and one daughter, Shirley Fraser. Muriel was a quiet woman who worked for 15 years for Connor's Bros. in the labeling room, after which she made her home her life. Resting at the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm followed by interment in the Beaver Harbour Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Muriel's memory donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Charlotte County Cancer or a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
