82, Dutch Brook Harold A. (Sandy) Woodill passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with family members present. Born in Sydney, Aug. 13, 1925, he was a son of the late Harvey and Christina (MacPhee) Woodill. Sandy worked for 20 years as a brakeman with CNR prior to retirement. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12, Sydney. Sandy is survived by five daughters, Linda, Port Dover, Ont., Debbie, Edmonton, Alta., Ruth, Fort McMurray, Alta., Sheila, Salmon Arm, B.C., Sharon, Halifax, N.S.; five sons, Gary, Gores Landing, Ont., David, Sydney Mines, Philip, Dutch Brook, Brian, Dartmouth, and Paul, Toronto, Ont.; 28 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will beheld in Sydney Memorial Chapel, Monday, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Westside Chapel, Wednesday, 11 a.m. with Fred Bartlett and Philip Woodill officiating.
