BENSON, CHARLOTTE MARIE - Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on Sunday, June 17, 2007, Charlotte Marie (Ingersoll) Benson, wife of the late William Benson of St. Stephen and formerly of Blacks Harbour. Born on Grand Manan NB on August 16, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Laurie (Bud) and Leola (Ingalls) Ingersoll. A loving mother, grandmother and sister she is survived by two sons; Gary (Linda) Benson of Calgary AB, Maurice (Pricilla) Benson of Thompson Man., one daughter; Brenda (Bill) Guiney of Ottawa On., four grandchildren; Jody, Jason, Laurel and Mellisa, two great grand children; Caylon and Hannah, one sister; Arlene (Craig) Matheson of Pennfield, two nieces, one nephew, sister-in-law Emma (Bill) Randall of Fredericton and several cousins, as well as special thanks to Mabel Conley, mom's best friend, for all her love and kindness. Charlotte was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Blacks Harbour. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid cribbage and card player. She was a former member of the O.E.S when she lived in Bear River NS. By request there will be no visitation. The service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Blacks Harbour on Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Bear River NS. In Charlotte's memory, donations to the Calvary Baptist Church or the Charlotte County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
