JANES, ROBERT L. (DUNK) - Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 20, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1935 in Saint John he was the son of the late Vera (Janes) and Eric Basted, also William and Caroline (Burbridge) Janes (Mom & Pup). He is survived by his wife Phyllis (Myles) Janes of Saint John, his five children Catherine (David) Sabean, Kimberly (Roger) Paris, Robert Jr. (Joanne) Janes, Walter Janes, Patricia Janes all of Saint John, Loving mother to his children Rita (Langlais) Janes; six grandchildren Marsha (Charles) Brothers, Tiffany Janes, Tyler Sabean, Kristin Paris, Bradley Shannon and Alexandra Janes; one great grandchild Taylor Brothers; two sisters Betty (Kenneth) Cole and Mary Hanley. Robert was predeceased by brothers Clement, Walter, Gordon, Frederick and Donald and sisters Elsie Wills and Jean Damon. Robert worked at the Atlantic Sugar Refinery and Red Rose Tea. He spent some of his younger years as part of the Army. He had a great passion for Hunting and Fishing and loved to entertain with his Harmonica. Robert will be greatly and sadly missed. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
