Greenwood Seila Louise ‘Tiny’ White, 68, of Greenwood, Kings County, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008, in the QE II Health Sciences Centre — VG Site, Halifax. Born in South Alton, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Grace (Redmond) Ward. She had been employed as the assistant manager of Maxwell Shoes in Greenwood for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially birds, flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed working with ceramics, golfing and most recently, quilting. She is survived by her husband, John, Greenwood; three daughters, Cindy (Denis) Lavoie, Montreal, Que., Wanda (Scott) Dewling, Barrie, Ont., Angela Chenier (Steve Bates), Kingston, Kings County; a son, Darren (Tara), Lower Sackville; a sister, Donna (Donald) Chisholm, Cambridge Station, Kings County; a brother, Darrell (Charlotte), Grand Bay, N.B.; six grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, Tyler, Mitchell, Alec and Jordan; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John, two brothers, Percy and Ronald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2008, with prayers to be held at 8 p.m. both in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a reception will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2008, Fr. Gerald Saulnier officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only by request.
